Welcome to our first Newsletter for 2013. It has been a few months since we last updated our user groups on the changes and latest news from Dibbs Club Manager. We have over 60 users Australia wide, ranging from Bibra Lake to Balmoral, and from Bardon to Ballarat. Welcome to all ofour new user groups.
This communication will update you on some enhancements that have been made to the system, some great testimonials from some of our user groups, information about our referral program and the opportunity for Dibbs to service groups outside of Scouting.
Software Enhancements Asset Manager: management of categories and locations, including delete functionality. Added roll on to next year function to allow Groups to maintain a history of equipment values.
Programming Module of Events: Added Areas of Personal Growth fields for Scouts Australia. Added automatic time entries based on event start and end times.
Training Sessions – March 2013 Many of our original user groups are based in Sydney, but were trained many years ago. With changes to key users in the Groups not to mention major enhancements to the system, it is not surprising that so many are missing out on the full power of Dibbs Club Manager. To help adjust, there will be two training sessions held in March. One based on the Finance Manager module (to be held in the Greater Western Sydney Region) and a User and Finance Training session in the Newcastle area. Stay tuned for dates. Non-Sydney based user groups can contact us for details of online training that can be provided through the wonders of online meeting programs and Skype. We expect to announce some training sessions in Brisbane in March.
Referral Scheme Congratulations to Bangor, 1st/2nd Blacktown and other user groups who have participated in our referral system in the last few months. Many of our Dibbs Club Manager users have jumped on the referral program opportunity. Should any Scouting Groups in your Region take on the Dibbs Software and they are referred by you, your Scout Group will receive a $25 credit for each group that has joined when you renew your licence the following year (up to 4 referrals per year). Spread the word so other Groups can experience the automated time saving processes and it’s many value add features. Have them contact us at
getorganised@dibbssm.net today.
Dibbs – It’s Not Just For Scouts As the Dibbs Software is designed for Club Management, we are looking to expand and service other areas of the Australian community. Can you think of another club and/or youth organisation that could benefit from this service? Perhaps a Swimming, Surf Lifesaving or Softball Club. Refer them to
http://www.dibbssm.net/ for details and ask them to contact us for a guided tour. We do the rest. There is a FREE year’s licence up for grabs for the first group to successfully refer a non-scouting group to join up with Dibbs.

TestimonialsWe love great feedback, and we have certainly had a lot of it recently. Below are just a few messages we have received from some of our users groups:
“Dibbs is the first system we've seen in scouting that allowed us to take control of the administration of our group all in one place. Its worth the effort to learn the system so that all those spreadsheets and email lists and financial administration is always up to date rather then spread around the place like a pigs breakfast.” (John Strong, Group Leader, Drummoyne Scout Group - NSW)
"1st North Sydney has been using Dibbs for over 3 Years, the software streamlines the arduous parts of being a leader leaving more time for the fun stuff. The variety of modules and the automated integration across Member Manager, Communications, Events and Award Scheme are excellent. I can no longer imagine running my Pack and the Group with spreadhseets and email lists – my favourite feature of the Month so far is the A1 generation and Event RSVP tracking via the newsletter - Parents and I are loving it!" (Eddie Smith, 1st North Sydney Scout Group - NSW)
“Our club was having difficulty keeping an up-to-date list of members and contact details. This made it difficult to keep track of finances and communicate effectively. Since starting with Dibbs, membership details are always up-to-date and available on-line. All communications are sent to the correct people and stored in a common area. Dibbs has helped enormously in getting out fee invoices at appropriate times and tracking payments, even during the time wewere temporarily without a treasurer. It was that simple.” (Greg Ayling, Kedron Scout Group - QLD)
“I must say that we are finding the Dibbs System a fantastic help with running our Group. In particular the Group emailing facility has improved the consistency and quality of our communications with our Group members. I have also been very happy to see new features rolling into the system, such as the NSW Census Report which is making my tasks a lot easier at census time.” (Keith Junius, 1st East Wahroonga Scout Group - NSW)
